With this complete 18-week high school program for home-schoolers, you will explore Unmanned Aircraft Vehicles (UAVs), commonly referred to as drones, and discover their wide-ranging applications in today’s world.
The “go-at-your-own-pace” course is relevant for any level, from novices to proficient drone enthusiasts. No prior drone experience is required.
This 18-week credit course was deigned for public high schools, however, it is not uncommon for home-schoolers to finish much sooner.
Structured for self-instruction, group collaborations are encouraged to make learning more engaging. Discount pricing is available for 5 students or more (for example: homeschool co-ops, enrichment groups, friends, etc.).
By the end of the course, you will be equipped to take the FAA Part 107 course which can lead to free-lance work or a full-time career. The aeronautics principles covered may also encourage you to pursue additional air and space studies.
Note: This class is recommended for those 16-years-old or older because this is the FAA restriction for Part 107 licenses. However, 15-year-olds near testing age, or younger students interested in learning, are always welcome to participate.
